PEP must be started within 72 hours of exposure.

If you have experienced a sexual assault, you can attend one of our clinics for support.
You do not have to report the assault to the police to get help. However, it is important to seek medical care as soon as possible to: treat any injuries, reduce the risk of pregnancy and test for and prevent sexually transmitted infections (STIs):
If you are considering a police investigation, a forensic examination should be carried out as soon as possible. We are unable to provide this service, so please contact a specialist support service or the police.

Condoms are the method of contraception that prevents sexually transmitted infections and pregnancy.
If you are 25 or under you can register for the C-Card scheme at access points, such as schools, colleges, youth centres to get regular access to free condoms. For more information and to register on the C-Card Scheme please click here

The contraceptive implant (Nexplanon) is a small device inserted under the skin of your arm. Nexplanon is now approved for up to 5 years of use in the UK (previously 3 years). If you already have a Nexplanon, it will remain effective for up to 5 years from the date it was fitted.

This appointment is to assess whether a coil (IUD/IUS) is suitable for you – a coil will not be fitted on the same day. A contraceptive nurse will review your medical history and contraceptive needs and refer you to an appropriate clinician for fitting at a separate appointment.
If a coil is not suitable, alternative contraception options will be discussed.

The staff will assess your suitability for a coil and refer you to an appropriate fitter dependant on your medical needs, the fitting will take place at another appointment. If a coil is not suitable for you they will advise on alternative contraception.
You can either have this assessment done via a telephone contraception appointment or in a clinic appointment.
If you think you may be pregnant you will need to attend for a clinic appointment.

This service is funded to provide contraception care for people at risk of unplanned pregnancy. This service unfortunately is unable to provide hormone replacement therapy (HRT) including contraception for those 55 years or older.
This includes fitting a new coil or replacing a coil for HRT purposes, for example replacing a Mirena coil at 5 years for HRT purposes as the Mirena coil provides eight years of contraception cover.

If you wish to attend our clinic to have your height, weight and blood pressure taken prior to requesting your contraception on-line or having a telephone appointment you can walk-in to Buryfields, Earnsdale or Woking clinics 9am-3pm. Some GP surgeries and pharmacies also have height, weight and blood pressure machines you can use.

There are three ways that you can get tested (1) online, (2) reception kit or (3) clinic appointment
For those with no symptoms you can request an online kit posted to your home address.
This service is restricted by your postcode of residence. If you are not a Surrey resident then you should be able to order an on-line kit from your county of residency.
If your Surrey postcode is not accepted, or if you do not wish to have it delivered to your home address: Surrey residents can also collect the kit from the reception desk at the clinics below Monday 9am-4.30pm, Tuesday 9am-3pm, Wednesday 9am-1pm, Thursday 9am-6.30pm, Friday 9am-4.30pm.
