Bloomsbury Clinic

Important Coronavirus information

Please do not attend the clinic for appointments or tests unless you have been advised by us to attend. If you are advised to attend it will be on a walk-in basis only, Monday-Thursday 1-4pm and Friday 1-2pm.  We anticipate most people can have tests deferred safely.

Please make sure you have at least a 30-day supply of medication and contact us if you have less than this. Please note updated clinic and pharmacy opening hours to the right.  If you are shielding at home and not already having your medication delivered, ensure you have enough supply or that someone can collect the medication for you:

  • If you are signed up for Boots collection they will need your Boots medication card
  • If your medication is collected from our pharmacy, they will need your name and date of birth

All booked face-to-face appointments and routine blood tests have been cancelled – if you had a booked face-to-face appointment or are due an email/phone appointment you will be phoned. This may not be on the exact day of your previous appointment depending on staffing but will be as close to your original appointment as possible. You can call 020 3317 5100 if you have not heard from us or if you need to update your contact details.

If you are running low on medication please call 020 3317 5100

If you have an urgent medical enquiry related to your HIV care call 07464 835124 (please note this is not accessible outside of usual clinic hours but you can leave a message and we will contact you back within one working day)

All Bloomsbury sexual health will be diverted to the general sexual health services. Check the sexual health pages of the website.

If you or someone in your household has symptoms of COVID-19, or you are in a high risk group please follow NHS advice: https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/.

Currently there is no evidence to say if people with HIV are at higher risk of COVID-19, or of severe disease. The British HIV Association updates their advice on a regular basis: https://www.bhiva.org/Coronavirus-COVID-19

If you want to find out more information about HIV, visit the NAM website.
