Chlamydia screening programme in Surrey

The Public Health Team are encouraging young women to take control and get tested to raise awareness of chlamydia.
Chlamydia is one of the most common sexually transmitted infections (STIs) in the UK and is particularly common among young people. If you are under 25, it's recommended that you have a chlamydia test once a year, and when you have sex with new or casual partners. There are lots of way of testing for chlamydia in Surrey including STI tests available through the post, picking up a chlamydia testing kit from a local pharmacy, and also at your local Sexual health service clinic.
The Public Health Team will be using social media to reach young women in Surrey with messages about testing. Although the campaign is focusing on women, men are also encouraged to continue to test and can access kits the same way. Find out more about the chlamydia screening programme.
