Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare (SRH) Training

We offer the following qualifications from the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare (FSRH):

We offer this training to clinicians who deliver care in general practice, community and integrated clinics in the following areas:

  • Barnet
  • Camden
  • Haringey
  • Islington
  • Surrey

If you work outside of these areas you can find a trainer local to you on the FSRH website.

FSRH Diploma (DFSRH)

The FSRH Diploma shows that a clinician can deliver contraceptive and sexual health care within a primary care or community setting.

There are four stages to the DFSRH:

  1. Independent Learning Portfolio (ILP) The ILP contains a mixture of self-guided learning, topic investigations, case discussion and patient feedback.
  2. Online Theory Assessment (OTA) This online multiple-choice assessment will be made up of 50 questions and will take one hour to complete. All questions presented will relate to the DFSRH learning outcomes mentioned below. There will be a practice assessment available.
  3. Summative Clinical Assessments (SCA) You will be expected to complete five SCAs within clinical settings.
  4. Assessment Half Day (AHD) The Assessment Half Day is a clear, standardised assessment done face-to-face. It consists of a written assessment lasting one hour as well as four stations which you will complete in rotation. Before you go into each station, you will have a short time to read through the case scenario and understand what skills and knowledge will be assessed.

We require all trainees to complete the eSRH e-learning before they commence their Summative Clinical Assessments training with us.
