Men’s Health Week – Your sexual health matters

7 June 2024

Men's Health Week (MHW) 2024 takes place from 10 to 16 June and is marked worldwide to raise awareness of the health challenges faced by men and promote strategies for better physical and mental wellbeing. The theme for this year is 'Know Your Numbers' and the key message to everyone is men's health counts.

We want to encourage men to take charge of their sexual health and test regularly. Getting a sexual health check is easy and shouldn’t be embarrassing. It’s a quick, simple process that not only puts your mind at rest but could protect you and your partner.

It’s never been easier to get tested regularly by ordering a testing kit online discreetly delivered to your front door or attending a sexual health clinic.

CNWL’s Surrey Sexual Health Service has a dedicated page to order home testing kits There are two types of kits available, one for people aged 16 and over  (which tests for Chlamydia, Gonorrhoea, HIV and Syphilis) and a Chlamydia and Gonorrhoea test for under 25s. If you live in London you can also book or order online on the Sexual health London website.

In Surrey those aged under 25 can also access free condoms through our condom distribution scheme. See the Healthy Surrey website for details.

You may also want to take PrEP, which stands for pre-exposure prophylaxis and is a medicine people at risk of HIV can take to prevent them from getting HIV. Visit our PrEP page to find out more.

You can find out about all the sexual health services offered by CNWL on our website.
