PrEP Impact Trial
If you are interested in taking pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) to prevent HIV infection, you can find more information about the trial on this website. We no longer have spaces available for men who have sex with men. Spaces are available for other eligible groups.
If you want to join, you should book an appointment, see the Impact recruitment option below for a ‘quick check’ to have the tests you need before you can be recruited into the trial (including if you are self-sourcing PrEP already, but not as part of the trial). You will then be given an appointment in an Impact Trial clinic (on a Thursday between 9am and 3pm) to review the results and get started if you want to do so, provided you meet the criteria and spaces are available.
This includes STI (sexually transmitted infection), HIV testing and contraceptive services.
Our online appointment slots are usually booked up very quickly and we do update these regularly.
We release the majority of our sexual health and contraception appointments on Thursdays. A limited number of appointments are released every weekday at 10am (excluding IUC/coil). We release all our IUC/coil appointments on Thursdays. On average each missed appointment costs the NHS £131 and stops other patients being seen, so if you cannot attend please cancel your appointment. Cancelled appointments are immediately available to re-book so please check back regularly. Before booking your appointment, please review all the options listed below to ensure you are booked in correctly.
If you do not book the correct appointment we will not be able to see you and you will be asked to rebook.
